Thoughts On “Paychecks for CEOs Climb”
It's just too bad that the motivating employees that really make these company's operate are not seeing the same type growth. As CEO's place higher burdens on employees to pay more for their benefits, and ask employees to work harder for less pay to account of job losses and job eliminations, the resultant improvements in profit margin are directed right back to the CEO whose life didn't change at all.
Some 30 years ago a CEO made 40 times Read More...
An Opinion On “Obama’s Dangerous Immigration Game”
James -- Are you implying that CA became heavily Democratic after the voters passed Proposition 187 in 1994? The evidence suggests otherwise: all of the crazed progressive liberals that infect our Congress were elected before then:
Speaker Pelosi (1986)
Rep. Pete Stark (1972)
Rep. Henry Waxman (1974)
Sen. Feinstein (1992)
Sen. Boxer (1992)
Not to mention that CA has not voted for a Republican for president since it voted for Bush 41 in 1988.

A Response To “Strauss”
She lied to get into this country - like thousands like her who use the same excuse to flee their homecountry for greener pastures, both to the US and Europe.
There are no ways for uneducated women like her to come to this country legally, the only way her asylum application would have been granted was for her to either claim political pressure (most common college application for males) or gang rape/ mutilation of genitals etc. (most common Read More...
My Take On “McConnell Plan Gets Support From Reid”
Congress has levelled a gambit against a sitting president. The U.S constitution provides that a sitting president is the single most powerful person on American soil. In fact, the U.S President can be more powerful than Congress when circumstances demand.
Negotiation is indeed gesture of good will on the part of the president. Parties involved are better off giving some ground just as much as the president should also give up some ground. Read More...
A Commentary On “Diamond Monitor Grapples With Zimbabwe Decision”
I find it amazing that Zimbabwe is the only focus of the blood diamond issue. In fact the Kimberly Process is fundamentally flawed as it does not include cut & polished diamonds. Israel funnels some where in the region of 1 billion dollars into it's military apparatus from it's revenue in the cut & polished diamond industry. Israel is in workplace conflict with Palestine. They enforce the illegal blockade of Gaza by military means. There Read More...
Views On “McGurn: When Big Government Goes to College”
The costs of virtual making learning fun should be far less but they really aren't right now. Check out University of Phoenix's tuition rates. It's not pricey compared to private colleges but it is hardly a deal. The biggest problem is that degrees achieved through virtual learning are mostly deemed to be a joke by employers. What did the person really learn? Did someone else take their tests? A lot more work needs to be done on this. Kids Read More...
Thoughts On “Huckabee Declines to Endorse Any in GOP Field”
Ha! You clowns always to say i love you want it both ways. When Bush was in office, you were all for the Iraq war, but now that a Democrat is in office, you're all for a pull out and stat. Love how you change your minds, but too bad you don't seem to change your mental diapers as often as you should...
Obama also said that pull out would be conditions based. Obama also promised to take the fight to the Terrorists, which he has, bagging Osama. Read More...
My Take On “Review & Outlook: California Union Rebuke: Voters Rebel Against Project Labor Deals That Raise Costs.”
Saul,
You are correct when you say that cost overruns occur on both union and non-union constructions project healths. But, that misses the point.
Owner mismanagement, incomplete and uncoordinated design documents, and contractor mismanagement all can result in unanticipated cost in any construction project. Still, that doesn't change the fact that, if all other things are equal, a construction project which is designated as a union only Read More...
Commentary On “New Tests for Newborns May Bring Dilemmas for Parents”
I don't understand how this is a controversial issue. If your child gets a test done, you get the results, no matter what they may be. Who's right is it to withhold any information? Isn't that the purpose of testing? As a parent of a newborn who was recently diagnosed with a eating disorder help due to the extra newborn screenings offered, I am now armed with this knowledge and have the ability to prepare my child for life, whatever comes Read More...
Commentary On “China’s New Stealth Fighter Is Revealed”
It seems to me that it is understandable that China will want to build a military and to flex their muscles to control the area in their region, at least for starters.
The US has superiority in the realm of ideas. This is a weapon which does no physical harm to persons or property. China greatly fears the western concept of freedom but shouldn't. We need to press our advantage at every juncture, batter down China's defenses and shamelessly Read More...
